ABOUT

We believe an investment must be made in offsetting the impacts of AI and rapid for-profit development though the creation free spaces that encourage individual coherence, social cohesion, aesthetic beautification, and environmental restoration while making a notable impact on the culture at large.

This is where Aorathian FreeSpace comes in.

FreeSpace will provide uniquely designed third spaces built primarily  from natural biodegradable materials, offering refuge from technological saturation and social fragmentation while encouraging creativity, connection, relaxation, and self-expression.

This is not a profit-driven initiative and will be funded exclusively through donations targeting donors who wish to leave a legacy of positive global impact.

CORE TENETS

Biodegradable and Architecturally Biomorphic: Building materials will be almost exclusively biodegradable and designs will be fluid and pleasing to the eye integrating natural palettes favouring colourful uniquely curved forms rather than straight grey box designs prevalent now in North America.

Sound & Silence: Buildings will be designed as secure zones of quiet, providing reprieve from the outside hum of engines and electronics, sometimes even integrating faraday materials for added shielding. Designs will centre around acoustic comfort and sound absorption, creating a calm inner atmosphere for nervous system regulation.

Accessibility: As the name suggests, FreeSpaces will be completely free to enter and though some commerce will be available (food, snacks, and occasional local vendors) there will be no expectation or pressure around spending money. These are accessible spaces that we want people to treat as family living rooms and not as commercial endeavours. These spaces will also be absolutely wheelchair accessible and sensorily-friendly to anyone with sensitivities. All are welcome so long as they bring no harm to others or to the environment. Braille will also be incorporated wherever there is written content.

Designs: While natural, the designs will also be distinctive and playful creating a unique and memorable impression on the landscape, and appealing to people's desire to engage. It is our intention to build distinctive structures poised to be mapped as major landmarks wherever they are built.

Local Artisan Support: Another area of AI-Impact offsetting we would like to focus on is with regards to local independent business and artisans, ensuring a robust creative and middle class. To accomplish this we will allocate a portion of our funding to commissioning all local artists, designers, and architects and will host ongoing artisan markets allowing local vendors to sell their wares with little to no sign up fee.

Business Model: FreeSpace is a singular vision and cannot be subjected to compromise, therefore we will operate entirely independently through a recurring donations model in which those interested in investing will commit to ongoing support as an investment not in personal returns but in the longevity and well-being of human populations and the planet at large.  We will start small with a single structure on a plot of private land: not widely advertised but available for locals to explore. In time, it would be nice to expand into a sort of global “chain” but each small step in and of itself will be considered a whole accomplishment with expansion as optional bonus.

Open Source Blueprints: Because Aorathian FreeSpace is not about ownership or profit, we focus on sharing our philosophies and ideas with others so that they may implement similar structures in their communities with success.

We are currently taking donations from interested parties towards the development of Phase 1: Cricket
